Description
π Toba DM 3 mg and 1 mg (10 ml) Product Description
Toba DM Eye Drops is a sterile ophthalmic suspension designed to treat bacterial eye infections accompanied by inflammation. This dual-action formula combines a potent antibiotic with a corticosteroid to provide rapid relief from symptoms such as redness, swelling, itching, and watering of the eyes. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like bacterial conjunctivitis and for post-operative eye care.
Mechanism of Action: This medication works through two active ingredients: Tobramycin (3 mg) and Dexamethasone (1 mg). Tobramycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for their survival. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation, thereby reducing swelling and redness.
Key Benefits:
- Comprehensive Treatment: Fights the infection while simultaneously soothing inflammation.
- Rapid Symptom Relief: Quickly reduces eye redness, itching, and discomfort.
- Post-Surgical Care: Effective in preventing infection and controlling inflammation after eye surgeries (e.g., cataract surgery).
- Convenient Combination: Reduces the need for multiple eye drop bottles.
π‘οΈ Precautions
Is Toba DM 3 mg and 1 mg (10 ml) Right for You?
Do not use this medication if you have a viral or fungal eye infection, or tuberculosis of the eye. Consult your doctor if you have glaucoma, as prolonged use of steroids may increase eye pressure. Remove soft contact lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
DO NOT STOP SUDDENLY: Complete the full course of therapy as prescribed by your doctor. Stopping the antibiotic early may allow the infection to return or become resistant to treatment.
β οΈ Side Effects
Common Side Effects:
- Temporary mild eye irritation or burning sensation.
- Blurred vision immediately after application.
- Eye redness.
Serious Side Effects:
- Increased intraocular pressure (risk of glaucoma).
- Vision changes or eye pain.
- Sensitivity to light.
- Secondary eye infection.

Very satisfied with the quality, but shipping took 28 days this time due to holiday backlog at customs. Usually it is faster, but just be aware.
